How do I transfer an existing investment account over to WealthBar?

You can transfer the accounts you have opened at other institutions to WealthBar, directly from your dashboard at any time.

To submit a transfer request, please complete the following steps:

First, from your Dashboard, click the "Transfer Funds" option in the top righthand corner.

Second, Click the "Transfer" button on the "Account Transfer" tab.

From your Desktop, either drag the account statement into the grey box, or click the box, and select the statement from your computer.

After the statement is uploaded, select which account you would like the transfer to go into. Please note that we can only transfer accounts into like account types (RRSP into RRSP, TFSA into TFSA, etc.)

In the notes section at the bottom, please let us know whether you would like to submit this request:

  • For a partial transfer, please let us know the exact dollar value that you would like to transfer.
  • If you would like to transfer the full balance of the account in cash, please leave the area blank.
  • We recommend clients transfer accounts in cash, but if you would like the holdings transferred directly, please let us know in the notes.

An associate from our transfer team will follow up with you on your transfer request if further actions are needed to complete the process. 

Account transfers will typically take 3-5 weeks to complete.
