How can we help?

What do I need to open an account?

In order to open an account you will need to have the following information:

  • Your social insurance number
  • Your spouse's social insurance number (only for Spousal or Joint accounts)
  • Your employment details (income, occupation, employer, address)
  • Your spouse's employment details (if applicable)
  • Your banking information (transit, institution, and account)
  • Approximate balances of your investment assets (eg. RRSP, TFSA)
  • Approximate balances for non-mortgage debts

During the sign-up process, you will be asked a series of questions (“Know Your Client Questionnaire”) to help us select the most appropriate portfolio for you.  You will be recommended a model portfolio that is aligned with your investment objectives, risk profile, and personal and financial circumstances based on the details you have provided.

A portfolio manager will review the information provided to ensure the portfolio suits your needs and may contact you if he/she requires further information to assess the suitability of the portfolio in order to approve the account. Once the portfolio manager approves your account any cash in your account will be invested.

Some additional personal information may be required for us to open and manage your account, all of which can be easily and securely provided within the account application.
